Site Engineer - Road Construction

Our client is seeking a diligent and practical Site Engineer to join their team for road construction projects in the Nelspruit area. This role is essential for ensuring the successful execution of construction activities on-site, focusing on quality, safety, and adherence to project plans and specifications. You will work closely with the site manager, contractors, and surveying teams to manage day-to-day operations.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality road infrastructure in Mpumalanga.

• Supervise and manage civil engineering construction activities on site, particularly roadworks.
• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks of materials and workmanship.
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate site activities.
• Prepare daily site reports, progress updates, and assist with quantity surveying.
• Resolve technical issues and conflicts that arise during construction.

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Site Engineer, preferably in road construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of road construction methods , materials, and surveying techniques.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
