Construction Project Manager Scale Residential Developments

They are seeking a seasoned and results-driven Construction Project Manager to lead significant projects in the Vereeniging, Gauteng area. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the construction process, from pre-construction planning through to project completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

You will manage site operations, coordinate with subcontractors, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure strict adherence to safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex residential construction projects and a strong understanding of the building lifecycle. • Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
• Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
• Select, contract, and manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring performance standards are met.
• Implement and enforce rigorous health, safety, and environmental policies on site.
• Monitor project progress against the plan, identify risks, and implement proactive solutions.
• Manage project documentation, including progress reports, financial records, and site inspections.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality control and compliance with design specifications.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, local authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate project success.
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and approve payments.
• Resolve site-related issues and disputes efficiently and professionally.
• Ensure successful project handover and closeout procedures are completed.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in construction project management, with a strong portfolio of completed large-scale residential developments.
• Demonstrated success in managing projects from inception to completion, meeting budget and timeline targets.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore) and the full MS Office Suite.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective stakeholder management.
• Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and specifications.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Vereeniging region.
• Experience with hybrid work arrangements and effective collaboration across different teams.
