Construction Supervisor

Our client, a leader in the construction industry, is seeking a highly competent Construction Supervisor to manage and direct on-site operations in Benoni, Gauteng
. This role is essential for ensuring the seamless execution of construction projects, adhering to strict timelines, budgets, and quality standards. You will be responsible for overseeing daily site activities, managing a diverse team of workers and subcontractors, and maintaining a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive practical experience in various construction disciplines, strong leadership qualities, and a thorough understanding of building codes and safety regulations relevant to Benoni and the Gauteng province.

This is a physically demanding role requiring your full-time presence on site in Benoni, Gauteng
.

• Direct and supervise all construction activities on site, ensuring compliance with project plans and schedules.
• Manage and coordinate the daily work of site personnel, including skilled trades and laborers.
• Enforce all health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.
• Monitor the quality of work performed, ensuring it meets project specifications and industry standards.
• Oversee the delivery and proper use of materials, tools, and equipment on site.
• Liaise with Project Managers, engineers, and clients to report on progress and address any site-specific issues.
• Maintain accurate daily site reports, including progress, personnel, and safety information.
• Troubleshoot on-site problems and implement effective solutions to minimize delays.
• Ensure the worksite is kept clean, organized, and secure at all times.
• Foster a productive and collaborative working atmosphere among the site team.

• Significant proven experience as a Construction Supervisor or Foreman.
• Deep knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and best practices in Benoni and Gauteng
  .
• Strong understanding of relevant OHS Act regulations and construction safety standards.
• Excellent leadership, motivational, and team management skills.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and decision-making skills.
• Good communication and reporting abilities.
• Physical resilience and ability to work effectively in outdoor site environments.
• Experience with contract administration and subcontractor management is beneficial.
