Construction Foreman - Industrial Facilities

About the Role Our client, a prominent contractor specializing in industrial construction, requires a seasoned Construction Foreman to supervise on-site operations for a key project in Vereeniging, Gauteng . This hands-on role demands strong leadership, technical acumen, and the ability to manage and motivate a diverse construction crew. You will be responsible for overseeing daily activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supervising industrial construction projects and possess excellent problem-solving skills. This position is crucial for the efficient and safe execution of site works.

• Supervise and direct daily construction activities on site.
• Ensure all work is carried out according to project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Manage and coordinate the activities of construction workers and subcontractors.
• Inspect work performed by tradespeople and ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain a safe working environment and enforce all health and safety protocols.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure workers are aware of potential hazards.
• Monitor progress of work and report any delays or issues to the Project Manager.
• Ensure efficient use of materials, tools, and equipment.
• Liaise with site engineers, inspectors, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain site records, including daily logs and attendance.

• Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or similar supervisory role in industrial construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in managing labour and subcontractors effectively.
• Knowledge of relevant South African building codes and regulations.
• Trade qualification or relevant certification in construction is highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Must be able to work full-time in Vereeniging, Gauteng .
