Civil Project Manager - Construction and Development

Our client, a leading construction and development company, is seeking a highly motivated Civil Project Manager to oversee diverse projects in the Vereeniging, Gauteng area. This role requires a dynamic individual capable of managing all phases of construction projects, from planning and procurement to execution and closeout. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of construction methodologies, and a proven ability to manage complex civil engineering projects. Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation. Manage all aspects of the construction process, including site operations, contractor coordination, and quality control. Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, environmental standards, and building codes. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Conduct regular site inspections and project meetings. Manage client relationships and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.

Prepare regular progress reports for senior management and clients. Oversee the closeout process, including documentation and handover. Lead and mentor project teams to achieve project objectives in Vereeniging .

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction management qualification. Professional registration (e.g., Pr Eng, Pr CPM) is an advantage. A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering construction project management. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale civil infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Experience in contract management and dispute resolution. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in Gauteng . Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the region.
