Civil Project Manager - Construction and Development

Our client, a reputable construction and development firm, is seeking a seasoned Civil Project Manager to oversee diverse construction projects in and around Klerksdorp, North West
. This pivotal role involves managing all phases of the construction process, from initial planning and procurement through to execution and final handover. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of civil engineering principles and construction methodologies. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

• Lead and manage all aspects of civil construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and site personnel to ensure project objectives are met.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using project management software.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure adherence to quality control procedures and safety regulations on all project sites.
• Manage project finances, including tracking costs, approving invoices, and forecasting expenditures.
• Oversee the procurement of materials and services, and manage subcontractor performance.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings.
• Prepare project status reports for senior management and clients in North West

• Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders.

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Professional registration (Pr Eng) with ECSA is advantageous.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within the civil engineering and construction industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing medium to large-scale civil construction projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations in South Africa

• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and construction management tools.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites around Klerksdorp
