Site Foreman

Our client, a well-established construction company, is seeking a dependable and experienced Site Foreman to oversee daily operations on various construction sites in and around Vereeniging, Gauteng . This hands-on role requires a leader who can effectively manage a construction crew, ensure work is completed according to project plans and specifications, and maintain a safe and productive work environment. You will be responsible for coordinating trades, managing materials, and ensuring quality control on site.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. • Supervise and direct daily activities of the construction crew, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient workflow.
• Ensure all work is performed safely, in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Interpret construction drawings and specifications, and guide the crew in their execution.
• Coordinate with the site manager or project manager regarding work progress, material needs, and potential issues.
• Manage on-site materials and equipment, ensuring proper storage and usage.
• Conduct daily safety briefings (toolbox talks) and enforce safety protocols at all times.
• Perform quality checks on workmanship and ensure adherence to project standards.
• Maintain daily site logs, documenting work performed, manpower, and any incidents.
• Assist in problem-solving on site and finding practical solutions to construction challenges.
• Operate various construction tools and equipment as needed.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a construction team effectively.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes relevant to Vereeniging .
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic understanding of project schedules and deadlines.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Trade qualification or relevant certification is an advantage.
