Sound Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and passionate Sound Engineer to join their production team in Vereeniging . You will be responsible for all aspects of audio recording, mixing, and mastering for live events, studio productions, and digital media projects within the arts and entertainment sector. This role requires a meticulous ear for detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional audio quality.

• Operate and maintain professional audio equipment for recording, mixing, and live sound reinforcement.
• Record and mix audio for a variety of applications, including live performances, studio sessions, and multimedia projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any audio-related technical issues that arise during production or events.
• Collaborate with artists, producers, and directors to achieve desired sonic outcomes.
• Ensure all audio captured and produced meets high-quality standards and project specifications.
• Manage audio assets, including archiving and organizing recorded materials.

• Proven experience as a Sound Engineer , with a strong portfolio demonstrating audio production skills.
• Proficiency with digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton Live.
• Thorough understanding of audio principles, including acoustics, signal flow, and microphone techniques.
• Experience with live sound mixing and event audio setup is highly advantageous.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate production schedules.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach to audio quality.
