Freelance Beauty Photographer & Retoucher

Our client is seeking a talented Freelance Beauty Photographer & Retoucher to collaborate on projects for beauty brands and publications, working a hybrid model that includes on-location shoots and remote editing in the Vereeniging area. You will be responsible for capturing stunning, high-quality images that highlight product features, model aesthetics, and brand messaging. This role requires a strong artistic vision, technical proficiency in photography and editing software, and the ability to translate creative briefs into compelling visual content.

You will work with a dynamic team of creatives, contributing your unique skills to elevate brand presence and visual storytelling within the competitive beauty market of Gauteng.

• Plan and execute beauty and product photoshoots, collaborating with art directors and stylists.
• Capture high-resolution images using professional photography equipment and lighting techniques.
• Perform advanced retouching and color correction on images to meet brand standards and aesthetic goals.
• Manage digital assets, ensuring organized file management and timely delivery of final images.
• Stay current with industry trends in beauty photography, styling, and digital editing.
• Effectively communicate with clients and team members to ensure project objectives are met.

• Proven experience as a Beauty Photographer with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in the genre.
• Proficiency in industry-standard photography equipment and lighting setups.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom for retouching, compositing, and color grading.
• Strong understanding of composition, color theory, and visual storytelling within beauty aesthetics.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid remote and on-location setting.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
