Senior Aviation Technical Writer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Aviation Technical Writer to create clear, accurate, and comprehensive technical documentation for their products and services in Nelspruit . This hybrid role demands excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into user-friendly manuals, guides, and reports. You will collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and support teams to ensure the quality and consistency of all documentation.

The ideal candidate has a passion for aviation, meticulous attention to detail, and a proven ability to manage documentation projects from conception to completion, supporting both internal teams and external customers effectively.

• Develop, write, and edit a variety of technical documents, including maintenance manuals, user guides, service bulletins, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) across engineering, product development, and operations to gather technical information.
• Ensure all documentation adheres to industry standards, style guides, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage the documentation lifecycle, including planning, creation, review, revision, and publication.
• Organize and maintain a centralized repository of all technical documentation.
• Continuously improve documentation processes and templates for greater efficiency and clarity.

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Technical Writer , with a significant portion in the aviation or aerospace industry.
• Proven ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Proficiency with technical writing tools and content management systems (e.g., Mad Cap Flare, XML, Adobe Frame Maker).
• Exceptional grammar, punctuation, and editing skills.
• Experience working in a hybrid environment, managing tasks effectively both remotely and on-site in Nelspruit .
