Dental Assistant | East Rand, Gauteng

A busy and well-established dental practice in the East Rand of Gauteng is looking for an experienced, HPCSA-Registered Dental Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be professional, well-presented, have good work ethic and be reliable.
The ideal starting date would be:
As soon as possible

Minimum Requirements:

• HPCSA-registered Dental Assistant (non-negotiable)
• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a dental practice
• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilisation protocols, and chair-side assisting
• Proficiency in GoodX (or similar billing/patient management systems) would be beneficial
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly, patient-focused approach
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and support the clinical team efficiently
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting the dentist chair-side during procedures
• Preparing and sterilising instruments and equipment
• Taking and recording patient histories
• Setting up treatment rooms and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
• Supporting with digital patient records and documentation
• Educating patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Helping the practice run smoothly by assisting the team wherever needed

Salary: Market-related (depending on experience)
Working hours: Monday - Friday, 07:30 - 17:30 (no weekends)
