About the Role
Our client is seeking an expert Remote Sanitation Policy Advisor to develop and refine cleaning and sanitation standards and policies for their widespread operations. This pivotal role is entirely remote and requires a deep understanding of public health, hygiene best practices, and regulatory compliance. You will research, draft, and implement policies that ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and safety across all facilities, contributing significantly to public health and operational integrity.
This position is ideal for a highly analytical and proactive individual with exceptional communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders and driving policy change from a distance, regardless of location, including supporting operations near Vereeniging .
- Research and analyze best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes in sanitation and public health.
- Develop, implement, and update comprehensive cleaning and sanitation policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations to operational teams on implementing sanitation protocols.
- Develop training materials and conduct remote training sessions for staff on new policies and hygiene standards.
- Monitor compliance with established policies and advise on corrective actions needed to maintain standards.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management outlining policy recommendations and compliance status.
- Advanced degree in Public Health, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in developing and implementing sanitation, hygiene, or public health policies.
- Proven ability to conduct in-depth research and translate findings into practical, actionable policies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in using virtual collaboration tools and remote work technologies.
