Junior Designer

Overview

Junior Designer in a joinery company:
Produce detailed joinery drawings using CAD software (such as AutoCAD or Cabinet Vision). Assist in designing custom furniture, cabinetry, kitchens, wardrobes, and other joinery products. Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and client requirements. Prepare manufacturing and workshop drawings for production. Create cutting lists, material schedules, and hardware specifications. Support senior designers with project development and design revisions. Ensure designs comply with company standards, building regulations, and quality requirements.

Coordinate with the production team to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable. Communicate with project managers, estimators, and installers regarding design details. Update drawings based on client feedback or site measurements. Assist with site visits to verify dimensions and gather project information when required. Maintain accurate design documentation and project files. Research new materials, finishes, fittings, and joinery trends. Help resolve design-related issues during manufacturing and installation.

Ensure projects are completed within deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
