Urban Design Architect

Our client is looking for a forward-thinking Urban Design Architect to join their team in Benoni . This role focuses on the planning and design of public spaces, master planning for developments, and shaping the urban fabric of communities. You will work on projects that aim to enhance livability, sustainability, and economic vitality through thoughtful and integrated design. • Develop master plans and urban design strategies for new developments and revitalization projects.
• Design public spaces, streetscapes, and pedestrian networks to enhance urban livability.
• Collaborate with city planners, developers, landscape architects, and community stakeholders.
• Create visual representations, including diagrams, renderings, and physical models, to communicate design concepts.
• Ensure designs align with urban planning policies, sustainability principles, and community needs.
• Conduct site analyses and feasibility studies for urban development projects.

• Master's degree in Urban Design, Architecture, or Urban Planning.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in urban design or architectural roles with an urban focus.
• Proficiency in urban design software such as GIS , AutoCAD, Sketch Up, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of urban planning principles, policy, and sustainable development.
• Excellent visual communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in community engagement and participatory design processes.
