About the Role

Our client is seeking a forward-thinking Senior Sustainable Architect to lead the integration of environmentally conscious design principles into their projects based in Nelspruit . This role involves championing green building practices, researching sustainable materials and technologies, and guiding design teams to achieve high levels of environmental performance. You will play a critical role in shaping projects that are not only aesthetically pleasing and functional but also environmentally responsible and resource-efficient.

• Lead the development and implementation of sustainable design strategies for architectural projects.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments and lifecycle analyses for proposed designs.
• Research and specify sustainable materials, systems, and technologies.
• Collaborate with consultants and clients to achieve green building certifications (e.g., LEED, EDGE).
• Mentor junior staff on sustainable design principles and practices.

• Professional degree in Architecture and registration as a Professional Architect with SACAP.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience with a strong focus on sustainable design.
• In-depth knowledge of green building rating systems and sustainability principles.
• Proficiency in relevant design software and energy modeling tools.
