Construction Drafter

Our client is seeking a meticulous Construction Drafter to join their technical team in Benoni . You will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans based on architectural and engineering designs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications. This role requires proficiency in CAD software and a solid understanding of construction methods and materials. You will work closely with engineers and project managers to translate complex designs into clear, workable blueprints for construction sites.

• Produce detailed architectural and structural drawings using CAD software.
• Prepare construction plans, elevations, sections, and details from sketches and specifications.
• Ensure all drawings are accurate, clear, and compliant with project requirements and building codes.
• Coordinate with engineers and architects to resolve design issues and incorporate revisions.
• Maintain an organized system for managing and archiving drawings and project documentation.
• Assist in site inspections for verification of drawing accuracy against site conditions when required.

• Proven experience as a Construction Drafter or similar role.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software (e.g., Revit, Civil 3D).
• Strong understanding of construction terminology, methods, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
