About the Role
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Architectural Technician to join their growing practice in Welkom . This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience across a variety of architectural projects, supporting the design and technical delivery process. You will work under the guidance of experienced architects and technicians, contributing to the creation of high-quality drawings and documentation.
The role is perfect for someone eager to learn, develop their technical skills, and contribute to a collaborative team environment within the Free State .
- Assist in the preparation of detailed architectural drawings and documentation using CAD software.
- Support the development of design concepts and technical solutions.
- Conduct site measurements and surveys as required.
- Help in the coordination of project information with consultants and contractors.
- Ensure drawings and documentation comply with project specifications and South African building standards.
- Maintain organized project files and records for easy access and retrieval.
- National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in an architectural or construction-related role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with 3D modeling software (e.g., Sketch Up, Revit).
- Strong understanding of basic architectural principles and construction detailing.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work in Welkom .
