Lead 3D Modeler

Our client, a leading architectural visualization studio in Klerksdorp , is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead 3D Modeler to join their dynamic team. You will be responsible for leading the 3D modeling department, ensuring the creation of high-quality, detailed models for architectural projects, product visualizations, and marketing materials. This role involves guiding junior modelers, establishing best practices, and collaborating closely with designers and project managers to bring complex concepts to life.

• Lead and mentor a team of 3D modelers, providing technical guidance and artistic direction.
• Create highly detailed and accurate 3D models of architectural elements, interior spaces, and surrounding environments.
• Develop and maintain a consistent modeling style and quality across all projects.
• Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and project managers to understand project requirements and translate them into 3D assets.
• Optimize models for performance and rendering efficiency in various visualization pipelines.
• Establish and enforce modeling standards, workflows, and best practices within the team.

• 5+ years of experience as a 3D Modeler, with a significant portion in architectural visualization or a related field.
• Expertise in industry-standard 3D modeling software such as 3ds Max, Maya, Blender, or Sketch Up.
• Proficiency in creating detailed models from blueprints, CAD files, and reference imagery.
• Strong understanding of topology, UV mapping, and texturing techniques for realistic rendering.
• Proven leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment in Klerksdorp.
