Senior Architectural Technologist

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join their team, based in Nelspruit . This role involves leading the technical design and documentation phases of architectural projects, ensuring precision, compliance, and constructability. You will be instrumental in translating architectural concepts into detailed construction drawings and specifications, working collaboratively with architects and engineers. • Lead the development of detailed technical drawings, specifications, and BIM models for complex architectural projects.
• Ensure all technical documentation adheres to the highest standards of accuracy, quality, and compliance with building regulations .
• Collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, and other consultants to integrate all building systems.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architectural technologists and draughtspersons.
• Conduct site inspections during construction to ensure adherence to design intent and technical specifications.
• Stay abreast of advancements in building technology, materials, and BIM software .

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Architectural Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience as an Architectural Technologist, with a proven portfolio of technical design work.
• Expert proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; knowledge of other design and analysis software is beneficial.
• Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and South African building standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple technical aspects of projects.
