• Lead the architectural design process for major healthcare projects from conceptualization to construction administration.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare clients, medical professionals, and operational staff to define project requirements and design solutions.
• Ensure designs meet all relevant healthcare regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., DOH guidelines, NHBRC standards).
• Develop detailed architectural drawings, plans, specifications, and documentation for healthcare facilities.
• Oversee and mentor junior architects and design teams, fostering a culture of design excellence and technical proficiency.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site analyses, and programming for new healthcare developments and renovations.
• Coordinate with engineering consultants (MEP, structural, civil) to ensure integrated and efficient design solutions.
• Manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of design services.
• Present design concepts and proposals to clients and stakeholders effectively.
• Stay current with global trends, technologies, and best practices in healthcare architecture and planning.

• Professional qualification in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) and SACAP registration.
• Minimum of 15 years of post-graduate experience, with at least 8 years specifically focused on healthcare architecture.
• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale hospital, clinic, or medical center projects.
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare planning principles, medical equipment integration, and patient flow.
• Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD) and strong visualization skills.
• Understanding of South African healthcare regulations and building codes.
• Excellent leadership, project management, and client relationship management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
