Our client, a highly regarded educational institution in Klerksdorp, North West, ZA, is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Science Educator to inspire the next generation of scientists. This role offers a dynamic teaching environment, with potential for hybrid work involving curriculum development and remote student support.

• Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive science curriculum, covering topics such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, aligned with national educational standards.
• Create and implement innovative lesson plans, laboratory experiments, and hands-on activities that foster student understanding and critical thinking.
• Assess student progress through a variety of methods, including tests, assignments, projects, and practical assessments, providing constructive feedback.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that encourages student participation and inquiry.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a productive learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and department heads to develop interdisciplinary learning opportunities and curriculum enhancements.
• Stay current with advancements in scientific fields and pedagogical methodologies.
• Utilize educational technology and digital resources to enrich the learning experience.
• Provide academic support and mentorship to students, addressing individual learning needs.
• Participate in school-wide events, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities.
• Contribute to the development of science-related extracurricular activities or clubs.
• Maintain accurate student records and progress reports.

• Bachelor s degree in Science (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Biology) with a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience at the secondary school level.
• In-depth knowledge of science subjects and curriculum requirements.
• Proven ability to engage students and create stimulating learning experiences.
• Strong classroom management skills and a student-centered approach.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and digital learning platforms.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive school culture.
• Adaptability to hybrid teaching models, including remote instruction and online resource development.
• A passion for science education and a commitment to student success.
