We are seeking to employ committed and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educators in the Hume and Merri-bek and North Melbourne areas.

Several exciting opportunities exists for educators to join our growing early years teams who make a positive difference in the lives of children and families as we have expanded our services within the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne.

About Northern Schools Early Years Cluster

The Northern Schools Early Years (NSEY) is an Early Years Management group that support 19 Early Childhood services,17 of which are co-located on school sites. We are proud to have been previous winners in the Department of Education’s Victorian Early Years Awards for Improving Access and Participation in Early Learning and the Ministers Award for our Kindergarten to Grade 6 (K-6) model “Continuing of Learning” which continues to be our focus working in partnership with our schools and communities.

Our purpose is to “Love a Life of Learning and Living,” and we aim to set the highest standard of early years education in partnership with local schools and the community. We are committed to maximising outcomes for children in the early years, encouraging opportunities for families to be involved in their child’s early education and promoting professional career support, development and well-being for our educators.

The Opportunity - Kindergartens on School Sites – Northern Suburbs of Melbourne - Hume & Merri-Bek Areas, North Melbourne

Our kindergartens are co-located on school sites and deliver sessional kindergarten programs for three and four-year-old children. Our reputation is recognised both locally and nationally within the early childhood industry as an educational model and standard for the future, incorporating Kindergarten to Grade
-6 and in some cases zero – grade 6, where we worked in an integrated service delivery model alongside schools, Maternal Health Nurses, playgroups and community hubs.

The successful Early Childhood Educators will support the delivery of our kindergarten programs.

Full time and Part-time positions are available at several of our Kindergartens, including our new Gladstone Views Primary School kindergarten due to open in 2026, offering sessional programs either 5 hours sessions or 7.5 hour session. Hours range from 17.5 to 35 hours per week spread over 3-5 days per week during school terms. Educators are employed under the conditions of the VECTEA.
