The following opportunity is available: PRE PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER (2‑3 YEAR OLDS) FOR 2026.

• Build warm, trusting relationships with each child, promoting a sense of belonging and emotional security.
• Respond with sensitivity and patience to the needs of toddlers, offering comfort, encouragement, and guidance.
• Maintain a calm, caring, and positive classroom tone at all times.
• Establish gentle but firm boundaries that promote respect, safety, and cooperation.

• Plan and deliver age‑appropriate activities and play areas that promote cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
• Encourage exploration through sensory play, music, movement, art, and storytelling.
• Support children in developing early communication, fine and large motor, and self‑help skills.
• Observe and assess children’s progress and development, recording observations and identifying areas of need.
• Share progress and milestones with parents during parent meetings and through written reports twice a year.

• Maintain a safe, hygienic, and organised classroom and playground environment suitable for two‑ and three‑year‑olds.
• Supervise children at all times, ensuring their well‑being and safety indoors and outdoors.
• Model and encourage positive social interactions and conflict resolution.
• Guide children gently but firmly, ensuring boundaries are clear and consistently upheld.

• Communicate regularly and positively with parents to build trust and partnership in supporting each child’s growth.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and the Head of Junior School.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events as required.
• Participate in extra‑mural and sporting activities of the wider school community.

• Uphold the ethos and values of Wembley College in all interactions.
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and professionalism at all times.
• Participate in continuous professional development and remain current in early childhood education best practices.
• Assist in school functions, fundraising, and community events as required.

• An appropriate ECD qualification.
• At least 2 to 5 years of teaching experience in the preschool environment.
• SACE registration.
• An excellent communicator who builds positive relationships with parents, staff, and children.
• Willingness to contribute to the school’s extra‑curricular programme.
• A team player who is passionate about education and willing to immerse themselves in school life.
• Willingness to undertake an 18‑month Psychomotor Practice Aucouturier (PPA®) course.
