Intermediate Phase Math Teacher; Boksburg

About the Role

Teach at Nova Pioneer Boksburg Primary School as an Intermediate Math teacher (grades 5–7) starting September 2026. Lead instruction and planning for the subject‑ or grade‑level classroom, driving a rigorous enquiry‑based learning environment. Resident teachers are supported by Deans of Instruction and mentor apprentice teachers.

• Work closely with learning designers to design impactful lessons.
• Design and deliver engaging enquiry‑based lessons supported by technology.
• Observe, coach and model teaching for apprentice teachers.
• Infuse joy and passion for learning into lessons to keep students invested.
• Set and communicate rigorous goals for all students and provide feedback.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student progress and adjust instruction.
• Attend weekly feedback meetings with Deans and learning designers.
• Participate in professional growth opportunities (daily team meetings, coaching, reflection, etc.).
• Communicate regularly with parents via email, phone, and conferences.
• Contribute to co‑curricular programming for at least one activity per term.
• Participate in collaborative teams and committees, fulfil supervision duties as required, including morning, evening, and weekend events.

• Completed Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) or
  
  B.Ed + PGCE for the Intermediate phase.
• SACE registered (registration number and certificate required).
• Classroom experience teaching Mathematics in the Intermediate phase.
• Experience/understanding of Cambridge curriculum objectives is an advantage.
• Ability to lead a classroom independently, with experience in practicals.

• Teaching experience in Math.
• Experience teaching ICT in classroom environment.
• Passion for students’ success and enquiry‑based learning.
• Deep understanding of child development and age‑appropriate connection.
• Commitment to professional development and openness to feedback.
• Team‑based work and collaboration with resident teachers, apprentices, and deans.
• Effective communication with colleagues.
• Proficient use of technology for instruction.

• Valid Police Clearance (no older than 6 months).
• or passport.
• Work permit (if applicable).
• SACE certificate.
