Internship – Persons with Disability Program

Valterra Platinum invites suitably qualified Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) to express their interest in participating in structured development programmes aimed at enhancing employability and creating sustainable career pathways within the mining industry.

The purpose of the program is to develop competent candidates into the Internships and Work Integrated Learning (where applicable) through structured institutional and workplace-based learning, coaching, mentoring, and practical exposure aligned to operational requirements.

The programmes will run for a period of 12 months.

Successful candidates will be required to:

• Participate in structured training and development programmes
• Complete all learning interventions, assessments and logbooks
• Adhere to all safety, health, environmental and quality requirements
• Demonstrate commitment to personal development and learning
• Participate in workplace exposure and practical training
• Comply with Company policies, procedures and standards

Applications are invited from graduates who have completed a qualification (minimum 360 credits) in the following disciplines: Human Resources Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance / Accounting, Corporate Communications, Environmental Management, Occupational Hygiene, Related Business and Technical Disciplines.

Preference may be given to candidates whose qualifications align with operational and business requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant qualification (minimum 360 credits)
• South African Citizen
• Persons with Disabilities (proof of disability may be required)
• No prior participation in a similar internship programme may be advantageous
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Computer literacy will be advantageous
