Module Coordinator School of Law
Start date 01 January 2027
Key responsibilities:Designing and setting assessments across different modules
Designing classroom material, both synchronous and asynchronous (with specific focus on Property Law and/or Mercantile Law and/or Labour Law and associated responsibilities
Moderation on various modules
Using the learning management system (LMS)
Marking a limited number of assessments (assignments and exams) and providing feedback to lecturers and markers
Development of study material and management of relevant modules
Research and scholarship
Academic administration and other delegated duties
Participation in school and campus community and school and campus events
Professional development
At least a completed South African LLM degree
Minimum requirements:
At least a completed South African LLM degree in Property Law and/or Mercantile Law and/or Labour Law or a related field, LLD degree preferred
Expertise in the field of Property Law and/or Mercantile Law and/or Labour Law or a related field, LLD degree preferred
Expertise in Higher Education quality assuranceA minimum of 2 years teaching experience in higher education
Good knowledge of online learning management systems/tools
Good knowledge of legal databases such as Juta Stat, Lexis Nexis, SabinetA proven research track record
Experience in programme development
Experience in authoring study material
Admission as a legal practitioner
