About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Special Needs Education Coordinator to oversee and enhance support services for students with diverse learning needs in Benoni . This role focuses on developing inclusive educational strategies, managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and collaborating with educators, parents, and external specialists. You will play a key role in ensuring that all students receive the appropriate support and resources to thrive academically and socially.
This position offers the potential for remote coordination and administrative duties, supporting inclusive education initiatives across the Gauteng region.
- Develop, implement, and manage programs for students with special educational needs (SEN).
- Oversee the creation and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
- Provide guidance and professional development to teachers and staff on inclusive education practices.
- Liaise with parents, external therapists, and support agencies to ensure comprehensive student support.
- Monitor student progress and program effectiveness, making recommendations for improvements.
- Master's degree in Special Needs Education, Educational Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in special needs education, with at least 3 years in a leadership or coordination role.
- In-depth knowledge of special educational needs, inclusive pedagogy, and relevant legislation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with remote collaboration tools and managing programs across a geographical area is advantageous for this hybrid role in Benoni .
