About the Role
Our client is looking for an inspiring and qualified Physics Teacher to join the Science faculty at a leading high school in Klerksdorp. This role involves imparting a deep understanding of physical principles, fostering scientific inquiry, and preparing students for academic success in matriculation examinations and beyond. You will be responsible for developing dynamic lesson plans, conducting practical experiments, and nurturing a passion for physics among students.
This position offers a blend of on-campus teaching and potential for remote administrative tasks or supplementary online support, contributing to science education in the North West province.
- Teach Physics across various high school grades, covering topics such as mechanics, thermodynamics, electricity, and modern physics.
- Design and deliver engaging lessons, incorporating practical demonstrations, experiments, and interactive activities.
- Develop and administer assessments, assignments, and examinations to evaluate student comprehension.
- Foster a stimulating classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and scientific curiosity.
- Provide academic support and mentorship to students, guiding them through challenging concepts and exam preparation.
- Bachelor's degree in Physics or a related science, with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience teaching Physics at the high school level.
- Proficiency in conducting laboratory experiments and ensuring student safety.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage adolescent learners.
- Excellent communication skills and adaptability for hybrid teaching methods in Klerksdorp.
