Company Description Guided Growth Kids Hub is a child-centered early intervention and tutoring service for children aged 3-12 with autism, ADHD, speech delays, and learning differences. Role Description The Autism Tutor is a part-time, on-site role based in Durbanville, working directly with children aged 3-12 who have autism and other learning differences. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering individualized tutoring sessions, implementing therapy-informed strategies aligned with the G.R.O.W.T.H. Method, and supporting communication, social skills, emotional regulation, and academic development. The tutor will collaborate with caregivers and other professionals to align goals, track progress, and adjust learning plans as needed.

Additional duties include preparing learning materials, documenting session notes, maintaining a safe, engaging environment, and providing feedback to families in a clear, respectful manner.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience working with children with autism, ADHD, or learning differences, ideally in early intervention, tutoring, or educational support settings.
• Knowledge of child development, behavior support strategies, and inclusive education practices, with the ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build trust with children and families and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Organizational and planning skills to design structured sessions, track goals, and maintain accurate records of progress and observations.
• Relevant training or education in education, psychology, speech and language, occupational therapy assistance, or a related field; formal qualifications and experience with therapy-informed approaches are an advantage.
• Commitment to child-centered, non-judgmental practice, cultural sensitivity, and ongoing professional learning in neurodiversity and evidence-informed intervention.
• Ability to work on-site in Durbanville, with reliable transport and flexibility to accommodate afternoon or weekend sessions as needed.
