Technology Education Teacher; FET Phase

Our client is seeking a qualified and forward-thinking Technology Education Teacher to lead their Further Education and Training (FET) phase students in Vereeniging . This role is essential for equipping students with practical skills and theoretical knowledge in various technological fields, preparing them for tertiary education or vocational careers. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, managing workshops, and ensuring students have access to up-to-date technology and resources.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology and its application, with a strong ability to inspire and guide young learners.

• Teach FET-level Technology subjects, including aspects of engineering, graphics, and design.
• Develop and deliver dynamic lesson plans, practical exercises, and projects aligned with the curriculum.
• Manage and maintain technology workshops, tools, and equipment safely and effectively.
• Assess student performance through practical assignments, examinations, and project evaluations.
• Stay current with technological advancements and integrate them into the teaching curriculum.
• Provide guidance to students on career paths related to technology and engineering.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technology field or a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with a technology focus.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years of teaching experience in technology education at the FET level.
• Proficiency in relevant software and hardware used in technology education.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols in workshop environments.
• Excellent practical skills and the ability to impart them effectively in Vereeniging .
