Literacy Coordinator - Primary School

Our client is looking for a dedicated and innovative Literacy Coordinator to enhance reading and writing programs within their primary school in Nelspruit . This role is essential for developing and implementing effective literacy strategies across all grade levels, supporting teachers, and improving student outcomes in reading, writing, and comprehension. You will champion a love for literature and language, ensuring students develop strong foundational literacy skills crucial for academic success throughout their school careers.

• Develop, implement, and oversee the school's comprehensive literacy curriculum for primary grades.
• Provide professional development and ongoing support to teachers on effective literacy instruction strategies.
• Monitor student literacy progress through data analysis and assessment, identifying areas for intervention.
• Select and curate appropriate reading materials and resources for the school library and classrooms.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Literacy, or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
