About the Role
The Refueller is responsible for the towing, deployment, refueling, and recovery of mobile units. Actual and potential generator non-conformities are identified and addressed, with corrective and preventative actions taken and reported to upper management.
Key Responsibilities- The Refueller’s role will involve the Towing, Deployment, Refueling and Recovery of Mobile Generator Units.
- Refueling of Static Generators.
- Performing basic Power checks and facilitate manual changeover between Eskom and Generator supply.
- Maintaining the general condition and cleanliness of Generators, Bowsers, and all Company Assets.
- Perform Quality measures and Audits.
- Oversee and identify the possible risks that may affect H&S, workflow, quality, performance, etc., and must report all risks identified on time in the proper means of communication to urgency.
- Plan generator repairs.
- Will be expected to travel and perform tasks in different regions from time to time.
- Weekly generator Inspections on Site.
- Matric / Grade 12
- Valid Code 08 EB/EC or EC1 Driver's License
- Dangerous Goods Driving Permit
- Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
- ECB1 Trailer Towing License/Certification
- Minimum 1 years' experience working on telecommunications sites
- Knowledge of generator maintenance and operation
- Knowledge and/or experience in generator dispatching and deployment
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel)
- Medically fit in accordance with Health & Safety requirements
- Willingness to travel and work in different regions as required
- Mechanical Trade Test
- Experience in the facilities management, telecommunications, or service management industry
- Experience with mobile and static generator operations
- HIRA training
- Fire Fighting certification
- First Aid certification
- Knowledge of Integrated Management Systems (IMS)
- Experience conducting generator inspections, audits, and quality checks
- Experience with generator deployment, recovery, and fuel management operations
