About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Asset Manager to oversee their portfolio of renewable energy assets in the Mpumalanga region. This role is integral to maximizing the value and operational performance of their wind and solar power projects. You will be responsible for monitoring asset performance, managing operational contracts, optimizing financial returns, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and environmental requirements.

- Monitor and analyze the performance of renewable energy assets (solar farms, wind turbines) against operational targets and budgets.
- Manage relationships with O&M providers, ensuring high levels of service and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee contract management, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), leases, and service agreements.
- Develop and implement asset management strategies to optimize financial returns and extend asset life.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, permits, and environmental standards.
- Prepare regular performance reports and financial forecasts for senior management and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in asset management or a related role within the renewable energy or power generation industry.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, market dynamics, and financial principles.
- Proven experience in performance monitoring, contract negotiation, and financial analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with the South African energy regulatory landscape is a plus.
