Field Operations Technician - Oil & Gas

Our client is seeking a dedicated and hands-on Field Operations Technician to join their team in Benoni . This role is essential for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of oil and gas facilities. You will be responsible for monitoring production equipment, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting operational issues, and ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of the plant. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a field-based team.

You will gain valuable experience in various aspects of upstream and midstream operations within the Oil & Gas industry .

• Operate and monitor production equipment, including pumps, compressors, and separation units.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections on field equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot operational problems, implementing timely and effective repairs.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company procedures.
• Collect and record production data, reporting any abnormalities to supervisors.
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical, electrical) is advantageous.
• Proven experience (2+ years) in field operations or maintenance within the oil and gas sector.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
