Boiler Plant

To provide mechanical engineering expertise in the design, maintenance, and operation of boiler and steam systems, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance.

Oversee boiler plant operations, maintenance, and shutdown activities. Conduct inspections, repairs, and performance testing on high and low-pressure boilers. Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to prevent equipment failures. Ensure compliance with ASME, SANS, and pressure vessel regulations. Develop and manage maintenance schedules, budgets, and reliability programs. Lead project execution for boiler upgrades or replacements. Liaise with contractors, inspectors, and safety officers to ensure plant compliance.

BSc / BEng / BTech in Mechanical Engineering. ECSA registered Professional Engineer / Technologist (minimum 5 years post-registration).

• Years in boiler plant maintenance, design, or operation.
• Experience in power generation, petrochemical, or heavy manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of pressure systems and boiler operations.
• Excellent fault diagnosis and plant optimization skills.
• Leadership in safety and maintenance excellence.
• Boiler operation and maintenance (high and low-pressure systems).
• Pressure vessel design, inspection, and repair.
• Steam systems, valves, and safety compliance.
• ASME and SANS standards, and experience with plant shutdowns or commissioning.
