Senior Civil Draftsman

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Grade 12 with at least 50% in Maths and Engineering Graphics and Design, and/or a National Engineering Diploma or Apprenticeship.
• Design Draughtsman with 4 to 8 years’ experience as a civil draughtsman, preferably within the petrochemical or mining sectors.
• Proficient in the use of Revit and Inventor is essential.
• Competent in MS Office applications.
• Demonstrable leadership and organisational skills; able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team; a self-starter.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Capable of working effectively under pressure.
• Valid SA driving licence (Code B/EB).
• Own transport is preferred.

WORK DESCRIPTION:

The work will comprise of the creation of engineering drawings of petrochemical equipment such as structures, foundations, drainage, concrete works, and reinforcement detailing, to mention a few. Site measurements will be required to ensure that the equipment we design will fit on the existing interfacing equipment. The work may include working abnormal hours from time to time as determined by the work scheduling.
