• Ensures regulatory watch and assesses regulatory compliance in terms of HS&S & sustainability.
• Ensures compliance with applicable HS&S & sustainability regulation, other external and internal requirements and with ALV Corporate standards & AEU Standards.
• Execute the implementation and maintenance of the AEU HS&S management system in accordance with the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, to ensure site’s certifications.
• Execute the implementation and maintenance of the AEU Energy Management System compliant to ISO 50001 requirements.
• Manages relations with the plant Manager, employees & unions, and AEU HS&S team.
• Trains employees at all levels on HS&S, sustainability issues and responsibilities.
• Coordinates the emergency response in case of accident, fire, pollution, natural disaster.
• Conducts the necessary audits and inspections to ensure compliance with commitments in terms of sustainable development.
• Implement AEU standards and implement programs that foster continuous improvement and compliance with the EMS.
• Schedules and conducts, Internal site EMS Audits and External EMS Compliance Audits and provides recommendations where needed. Develop critical risk mitigation plans and actions.
• Provide advice and technical expertise to site management.
• Assist site management in all regulatory interfacing.
• Provides assistance to site management in collection of environmental data and the tracking of objectives.
• Review and report site EMS performance regularly.
