Electrical Supervisor - Grid​/Primary Plant - Solar PV

A leading South African IPP is looking for a dedicated BoP/Grid Electrical Site Supervisor to oversee contractor construction activities across their renewable energy portfolio. You will primarily focus on either primary plant, or the electrical balance of plant and grid interconnection works
, ensuring all projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality and safety.

• Site Supervision: Coordinate and supervise construction works, ensuring all client specifications and requirements are met.
• Progress Tracking: Monitor and report on site activities, ensuring timelines, quality testing, and costs remain on track.
• Compliance & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to HSE practices, internal policies, and international standards (IFC and Equator Principles).
• Documentation: Maintain accurate site logs, prepare daily/weekly reports, and verify the accuracy of "as-built" documentation.
• Contractor Management: Review progress claims, interrogate contractor planning to avoid clashing activities, and lead punch-listing for project completion.
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or an equivalent qualification with extensive applicable experience.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Site Supervisor.
• Industry Knowledge: Expertise in renewable energy projects (solar, wind, biomass, or hydro) is preferred.
• Logistics: Must be available to work on-site for the full duration of the construction phase and be willing to travel within the Africa Region.
• Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and team-working skills with a high level of commercial awareness.
