About this Position
Identify applicable SHE legal and other requirements, and continuously evaluate compliance across operations
What You'll Do- Identify applicable SHE legal and other requirements, and continuously evaluate compliance across operations
- Ensure all internal policies are aligned with legislative requirements, as well as Henkel Corporate and Regional standards and relevant best practices
- Ensure Hazard Identification and Environmental Aspects Identification, as well as Risk Assessment and Environmental Impact Assessment processes, are conducted and maintained up to date
- Ensure all equipment used on site is performance tested and verified against an up-to-date equipment register, in accordance with the required frequencies stipulated in applicable legislation
- Ensure full compliance with statutory equipment requirements and investigate root causes for any deviations or non‑conformances
- Ensure all required legal appointments are established, updated, and valid at all times
- Identify, monitor, and escalation risks related to non‑compliance with SHE legislation and company policies, as required
- FORMAL EDUCATION
- Minimum qualification:
Diploma in Safety Management, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Management (NQF Level
6) - TECHNICAL/ LEGAL CERTIFICATION:
- Legal Liability training
- Construction Regulations training/competency
- ISO Standards competency – ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other relevant industry SHE regulations and requirements
- EXPERIENCE - Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Chemical Manufacturing industry
