Junior Mechanical Engineer​/Junior Draughtsman

Introduction

Our client, based in Springs, offers custom truck and other commercial vehiclebodybuilding solutions and are seeking to employ a Jnr Mechanical Engineer / Junior Draughtsman, to join their team.

• Create and amend mechanical drawings using Solid Works
• Prepare detailed manufacturing and fabrication drawings
• Assist with the design and development of truck bodies and related components
• Generate 3D models and technical assemblies
• Ensure drawings comply with manufacturing and quality standards
• Liaise with production teams regarding design specifications and modifications
• Assist with problem-solving and design improvements on existing products
• Compile and maintain drawing registers and technical documentation
• Conduct site or factory measurements where required
• Support production and engineering departments with technical queries
• Ensure projects are completed within required deadlines
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department

• Experience working with Solid Works
• Approximately 5 years’ mechanical experience
• Previous experience with a large truck body builder advantageous
• Qualified Junior Mechanical Engineer OR Qualified Junior Draughtsman
• Strong technical and problem-solving abilities
• Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Immediately available candidates preferred
