Designer and Draughtsman

We have a Permanent Mechanical Design and Draughtsman positions available with salaries ranging from R50k – R120k/month:

Located in the East Rand in Germiston, our client specializes in delivering modular process solutions to the capital equipment market. With a focus on innovation and quality, our client caters to diverse industries, ensuring exceptional customer service and ongoing support.

• Manage a team of draughtsmen to produce project-specific drawings as per project schedule, allocate tasks and responsibilities, ensure optimal use of resources, and mentor team development.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the drawing office and project management teams; ensure drawings and documentation are produced in accordance with project specifications and deadlines; coordinate with engineers to gather information and clarify project requirements.
• Quality Assurance: review and approve all drawings and documentation before submission to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Documentation and Reporting: maintain accurate records of drawing revisions, project changes, and document control.
• Compliance and Standards: ensure that all drawings adhere to company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry codes.
• Client Interaction: engage with clients to understand their requirements and provide updates on drawing progress; address and resolve client concerns related to drawing documentation.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D / Inventor. Must have experience in the following disciplines:
  Civils (Layout, GA’s and rebar schedules);
  Piping (Piping layouts, GA’s and piping isometrics); knowledge of piping standards such as ASME / Sans;
  Structural (Layout, GA’s and fabrication details);
  Mechanical (knowledge of tanks, pressure vessels, and shop detailing).
• Site experience is a must: site installation assistance, site meetings, client meetings.
• Knowledge of petrochemical and mining plant and equipment.
