Process Engineer

To provide chemical and process engineering expertise to the Paper Machine 6 team by encompassing all aspects of plant modifications, process changes, design improvements, optimisations, control philosophy updates, trials, and major troubleshooting initiatives.

• Adheres to all the standards and documentation of the process engineering discipline. The following documents are combined in the work procedures for process engineers:
• Drawing standards for block diagrams and P&'s.
• Standards for investigation, design and evaluation reports.
• Hazop study checklists.
• Hot and live commissioning procedures.
• Isolation, installation, de-isolation and commissioning sequence procedures.

• Performs initial technical investigation and problem solving
• Consults with production, maintenance personnel
• Compiles feasibility studies.
• Compiles Mass and energy balances.
• Responsible for block diagrams, P&'s, piperuns and layout drawings.
• Checks technical correctness of proposed modifications.
• Checks and compares process with environmental standards/regulations
