Kopano Ke Matla Joint Venture (KKMJV) invites applications from qualified South African nationals and Basotho nationals for the position of Tunnel Superintendent.

Project: Polihali Transfer Tunnel

• Must be able to read, write, and speak fluently in the English language.

• Minimum of 20 years’ experience in TBM tunnel construction, including a minimum of 15 years’ experience as a Tunnel Superintendent, with at least 5 years in hard rock tunnelling with fully‑shielded TBMs (single shield or double shield TBM).
• Experience in similar size tunnels and tunnel lengths with precast concrete segmental tunnel lining consisting of bolted, gasketed, precast concrete segments.

Kopana Ke Matla Joint Venture (KKMJV) is a joint venture comprising Yellow River Co. Ltd., Sinohydro Bureau 3 Co. Ltd., and Unik Civil Engineering Pty Ltd. KKMJV has been appointed by the Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA) to construct the 38 km water transfer tunnel connecting Polihali Dam to the Katse Reservoir as part of Phase II of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project (LHWP II).
