As a Technical Support Manager, you will be responsible to provide advanced technical leadership and specialist engineering support for power plant operations. The role focuses on Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Technical Support Desk (TSD), reliability improvement, failure management, and high‑voltage (HV/EHV) maintenance support. The position also supports operational excellence, application engineering, site activities, and new business opportunities.

What you’ll do as Technical Support Manager:

Technical Support & Engineering Expertise

  • Provide specialist technical support to power plant operations, addressing complex equipment, system, and performance issues across generation and balance of plant systems.

  • Act as a focal point for TSD-related activities, including review, interpretation, and implementation of OEM technical bulletins, service advisories, and engineering recommendations.

  • Support troubleshooting during forced outages, deratings, and abnormal operating conditions to restore availability and reliability.

  • Ensure timely and accurate failure reports with appropriate supporting evidence in line with contractual contract obligations.

  • Provide application engineering support for power plant equipment, auxiliary systems, and operating envelopes. Responsibility sits with Application Engineering.

  • Collaborate closely with Application Engineers from the Engineering Department to ensure alignment between design intent, operational conditions, and engineering recommendations.

  • Conduct site visits to support diagnostics, condition assessments, inspections, and performance optimization initiatives.

  • Provide technical input for plant upgrades, modifications, and improvement projects.

  • Support PDR to operations handover by ensuring technical readiness, documentation completeness, and operational alignment.

  • HV / EHV Systems Support

  • Provide technical support to site teams during HV and EHV maintenance activities, including generators, transformers, switch gear, protection systems, and grid interface equipment.

  • Support troubleshooting of HV/EHV faults, protection trips, insulation failures, and abnormal electrical conditions.

  • Review electrical test results, inspection findings, and maintenance reports, and recommend corrective or preventive actions.

  • Ensure HV/EHV activities are supported in compliance with safety standards, grid codes, and operational best practices

  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA) & Reliability

  • Lead and coordinate RCA investigations for major failures, repeated defects, and high-impact operational events.

  • Develop and validate corrective and preventive action plans to eliminate recurring issues and improve plant reliability.

  • Conduct technical audits and reliability assessments to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • You are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Power, or equivalent Engineering discipline.

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in power plant engineering, reliability, or technical support roles.

  • Strong knowledge of RCA methodologies, failure analysis, and reliability engineering.

  • Hands-on experience with power generation equipment, including HV/EHV electrical systems

  • Advance Knowledge of Power Plants operation & Maintenance
