About the Role

Our client is looking for a specialized HVAC Mechanical Engineer to join their building services team in Benoni. This role focuses on the design, implementation, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for various projects. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with building codes and standards. • Design HVAC systems, including load calculations, ductwork design, and equipment selection for commercial and industrial buildings.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for HVAC installations.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with design intent and standards.
• Conduct energy analysis and recommend modifications to improve system efficiency and reduce operating costs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to HVAC system performance.
• Liaise with architects, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in HVAC.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in HVAC system design and project execution.
• Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP) and energy modeling tools.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC principles, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
• Familiarity with local building codes, standards, and regulations related to HVAC systems.
