Aircraft Structures Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Aircraft Structures Engineer to join their design and development team in Vereeniging. This critical role involves the structural design, analysis, and testing of aircraft components and airframes, ensuring compliance with stringent aerospace standards. You will utilize advanced analysis tools and methodologies to guarantee the integrity, safety, and performance of aircraft structures under various flight conditions.

The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of structural mechanics, materials science, and aerospace design principles, with a passion for contributing to the next generation of aircraft.

• Perform structural analysis and design for aircraft components and assemblies using FEA software.
• Develop and validate structural test plans and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with airworthiness regulations (e.g., SACAA, EASA, FAA) for structural integrity.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and maintenance teams to address structural issues and design improvements.
• Create and review detailed technical drawings, reports, and specifications for structural components.

• Master's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in structures.
• Proven experience in aircraft structural design and analysis.
• Proficiency with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software such as NASTRAN, ANSYS, or ABAQUS.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace materials, composite structures, and fatigue/fracture mechanics.
