About the Role
Our client requires a specialized Stormwater Management Civil Engineer to join their environmental engineering division. This role utilizes a hybrid work model, combining remote flexibility with necessary on-site engagement. You will focus on designing and implementing sustainable solutions for managing urban runoff, flood control, and water quality improvement. - Design stormwater management systems, including retention/detention ponds, bioswales, and permeable pavements.
- Conduct hydrological and hydraulic modeling to assess flood risks and runoff impacts.
- Prepare detailed design plans, specifications, and environmental reports.
- Ensure compliance with local, regional, and national stormwater regulations and best management practices (BMPs).
- Collaborate with municipal planners, developers, and regulatory agencies to integrate stormwater solutions.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical oversight during the construction of stormwater infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Environmental or Water Resources Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent professional registration.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience focused on stormwater management and drainage design.
- Proficiency in hydrological and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM, Info Works ICM).
- Knowledge of erosion and sediment control principles.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills for effective collaboration.
