About the Role

Our client requires a specialized Stormwater Management Civil Engineer to join their environmental engineering division. This role utilizes a hybrid work model, combining remote flexibility with necessary on-site engagement. You will focus on designing and implementing sustainable solutions for managing urban runoff, flood control, and water quality improvement. Your work will be critical in mitigating environmental impacts and ensuring regulatory compliance.

• Design stormwater management systems, including retention/detention ponds, bioswales, and permeable pavements.
• Conduct hydrological and hydraulic modeling to assess flood risks and runoff impacts.
• Prepare detailed design plans, specifications, and environmental reports.
• Ensure compliance with local, regional, and national stormwater regulations and best management practices (BMPs).
• Collaborate with municipal planners, developers, and regulatory agencies to integrate stormwater solutions.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical oversight during the construction of stormwater infrastructure.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Environmental or Water Resources Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent professional registration.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience focused on stormwater management and drainage design.
• Proficiency in hydrological and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM, Info Works ICM).
• Knowledge of erosion and sediment control principles.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills for effective collaboration.
