About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled Electrical Design Specialist to join their innovative team in Benoni . This role focuses on creating detailed electrical designs for a range of products and systems, ensuring they are efficient, reliable, and compliant with all relevant standards. You will be an integral part of the product development cycle, working closely with R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to bring new ideas to life.

- Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts using CAD software.
- Specify electrical components, hardware, and materials, ensuring compliance with project requirements and budgets.
- Conduct electrical calculations and simulations to verify design integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure proper integration of electrical components within product enclosures.
- Support the prototyping and testing phases, troubleshooting design issues as they arise.
- Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation.
- Assist in the design transfer to manufacturing, ensuring manufacturability and testability.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in electrical design and schematic capture.
- Proficiency in electrical CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar.
- Solid understanding of electrical principles, power distribution, and control systems.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
