About the Role
Our client requires a qualified and innovative Structural Engineer to contribute to significant construction projects within the Vereeniging area. This role focuses on designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of structural components for buildings and infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, stability, and efficiency. You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop robust structural solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong theoretical foundation in structural mechanics, practical design experience, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality engineering services that meet stringent industry standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Design and analyze structural systems for buildings and infrastructure projects, ensuring safety and compliance.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings , specifications, and calculations using relevant engineering software.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers to resolve design and construction issues.
- Perform structural assessments and provide recommendations for repair or reinforcement of existing structures.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in structural engineering , materials, and construction techniques.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering .
- Professional registration with ECSA or equivalent.
- Proven experience in structural design and analysis of building structures.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP
2000, ETABS, Prokon). - Strong understanding of relevant building codes, standards, and construction practices.
