Mechanical Design Drafter

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Design Drafter to join their engineering team. This on-site position is essential for translating engineering concepts into precise technical drawings and documentation. You will work closely with mechanical engineers to produce accurate blueprints, schematics, and 3D models required for manufacturing and assembly. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of drafting standards and a proficiency in CAD software.

• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry drafting standards and company specifications.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and other required documentation for manufacturing.
• Revise drawings based on engineering changes or feedback from manufacturing.
• Assist engineers in conducting design reviews and verifying drawing accuracy.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical drawing records.

• Associate's degree or technical certification in Mechanical Drafting or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Drafter or similar role.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, or Inventor.
• Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills for on-site collaboration.
